Entrepreneurial engineering students’ creative venture attracting attention

A team of Arizona State University engineering students whose startup business earned them Entrepreneur Magazine’s College Entrepreneur of 2011 award continue to attract attention to their creative venture.

Another national business magazine recently interviewed two of the founders of Generating Global Containers for Good – or the G3Box – an endeavor to convert large steel shipping containers into mobile medical clinics.

The idea evolved from separate projects the students were involved in through the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program in ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

The G3Box team members are handling schoolwork while trying to launch a for-profit business and lay ground work for a non-profit foundation based on their idea.
