EPICS Gold

EPICS GoldThe Engineering Projects in Community Service program, EPICS Gold at ASU, organizes teams of undergraduate students who design, build and deploy systems to solve engineering-based problems for not-for-profit organizations. Thirty-five students enrolled in the first series of EPICS courses offered fall 2009, and 165 students enrolled in fall 2011. ASU is one of more than 20 university partners in the national EPICS program.

ASU’s EPICS program also has a high school outreach component with three local high schools—Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix Union Bioscience and Marcos de Niza—in collaborative service-learning projects with ASU students.
